I wish you a Happy New Year 2024. I am considering the possibility of calibrating the WEAP model using a calibration method focused on administrative boundaries and excluding the watershed. I have already included historical data of observed river flows in the supply and resource section, but the simulated flow is not being generated. Could you please share any insights or suggestions you may have on how to resolve this issue? I would also appreciate any information about other possible methods for calibrating my model.Thank you for your help.

Apologies for the slow response. A couple of notes to help you-
When you included observed historical data, did you input this into a streamflow gauge object? If so, streamflow gauge objects only serve as a comparison tool to calibrate modeled flows versus observed flows. You can see these comparisons in Results --> Supply and Resources --> River --> Streamflow Gauge Comparison. To input modeled flows into your schematic, you can go to your river object and enter in Headflow, or enter Surface Water Inflow to the river reaches.
For calibration, it is important to generate your flows with a subcatchments which have boundaries ending immediately at each streamflow gauge you are calibrating to. In other words, you want WEAP to calculate your flows that would occur precisely at the streamflow gauge location.

Is there a possibility of clipping or delineating the automatically delineated basin boundaries/catchements based on the administrative boundary?

Some options to line up catchment boundaries with administrative boundaries:
1. In catchment delineation mode, hover your mouse over the downstream boundary "pour point"- when your mouse pointer becomes a cross, click and drag the pour point to your desired location. Note that the catchment will be based on the watershed boundary and may not line up with the administrative boundaries upstream. You can also input your own shapefile, or right click on the schematic --> Background Image Layer to display administrative boundary imagery to help with this process.
2. You can also link data from imagery layers to model objects such as catchments or demands in the schematic. If you right click on a shapefile or the basin or catchment layers created in catchment delineation in the schematic (they are located in the box beneath the model object box on the left), click Edit --> Linkage --> Link Layer to Schematic Objects and Demand Branches. Click on Help for "Map Layer" to learn more.
