Subject: GIS projection

Dear,
I used the catchment delineation mode and I want to compare the limits given by WEAP and the experimental deduced limits; so I can't overlap the two layers.

I used this projection for my GIS shapefiles: WGS_1984_UTM_Zone_32N

In the documentation of WEAP the only detail that I found about the projection is that is WGS84.
Please what to do? there is any documentation about this?
Thanks

Ms. Anne Hereford

Dear Rym,
These layers are UTM Zone 32N. UTM is a projection, and is not the same as WGS84 unprojected. Therefore, it is not compatible with the WGS84 base layers that come with WEAP (Countries, States, Rivers, Cities). If you unload WEAP's base layers, you will be able to load your own UTM layers and then Set Area Boundaries to choose your area and see the layers on the Schematic.

For more information on UTM (Universe Transverse Mercator), see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Transverse_Mercator_coordinate_system
