Subject: SEI is Hiring: Help us build the next generation of WEAP

I am happy to announce that SEI is looking to hire an experienced software developer to work on WEAP development with me and the rest of our team, on site in Davis, California.
We need someone who can contribute to the full software development life cycle: working directly with users and researchers to gather and refine requirements; software architecture and design, with a strong focus on good user interface design; implementation, testing, and documentation; deployment and user support; and maintaining a large, long-lived codebase. Because WEAP is developed by a small team, candidates must be comfortable owning every phase of development rather than specializing in one. Join our mission-driven team of scientists and software developers working on important issues such as drought resilience, climate adaptation, groundwater management, infrastructure planning, and ecosystem sustainability. Help us build the next generation of WEAP, incorporating the latest technologies in AI, web development, visualization, and decision science.
