Subject: Demand Site Sources

Hello!

I have monthly water use data for my demand site, which is supplied by both groundwater and a reservoir. Additionally, I have monthly diversion data specifying the amount withdrawn from each source. How can I configure WEAP to allocate water consumption separately for each source and ensure that the correct amounts are withdrawn accordingly?

Thanks..

Burcu,

To set the diversion amount from each source, you can build one transmission link from groundwater to your demand site and one from your reservoir to the demand site. Then, set the maximum flow volume of each transmission link equal to the amount withdrawn in your input data.

Note that the full maximum flow volume may not flow through your transmission links if your demand is less than the sum of your withdrawal data, or if there is insufficient water available at the given water allocation priority level.

Hope this helps!
