I am a PhD student and I use WEAP program to simulate the study area
But when I wanted to download the shape files for the region, some of the layers were successfully completed and some of the layers did not appear on the program, although all shape files have the same coordinate system.

Dear Abir,
Welcome to the world of WEAP!
It might be that some of your files are missing components or are have been projected with a different projection (but same coordinate system).

Please see the threads below for more information about shapefiles and WEAP

If you are still having trouble, please post again with more details.

Hello, I also met the same problem, I would like to ask what kind of coordinate system WEAP mainly supports?geographic coordinate system or projection coordinate system?Looking forward to your reply, thanks!

Here are some tips (some are repeats from the threads referenced above):

-WEAP's default projection is the World Coordinate System WGS 1984 (A geographic coordinate system).

-You can change the projection for your area prior to building your model. You do this by uploading your shapefile with your preferred projection and then deleting all the pre-loaded shapefiles. WEAP will then assume your new projection. You may need to reset the area boundaries around your new shapefile.

-If you had already built WEAP nodes before changing the projection, you will have to reproject the shapefile that displays those elements in the new the projection. It will be in the WEAP Areas folder for your model. If you're unsure of how to reproject a shapefile, search the internet for "Reproject Shapefile" along with the GIS software of your choice (QGIS, ArcGIS, etc) for detailed instructions.

-To check the projection of your existing shapefile, open the .prj file associated with the .shp. If you find something like "PROJCS" or PROJECTION["Transverse_Mercator", this means your file is in a Projected Coordinate system and it won't show up as long as the pre-loaded WEAP shapefiles are present. The WEAP prj files look like this: GEOGCS["GCS_WGS_1984",DATUM["D_WGS_1984",SPHEROID["WGS_1984",6378137,298.257223563]],PRIMEM["Greenwich",0],UNIT["Degree",0.0174532925199433]]
