Subject: What coordinate system do WEAP generated shapefiles use?

I'm trying to upload into QGIS the WEAPArc and WEAPnode files generated from the schematic. However, the coordinates do not appear to be in lat lon. The extent of the coordinates are -2325577,1049723;-542324,2518597. Does anyone know what coordinate reference system this is so I can project it in QGIS? The WEAP area is in the Southwestern United States and the origin appears to be in the center of the country.

Dear Julia,
By default, WEAP areas are in WGS 84 (latitude and longitude). However, if the model was built using pre-existing shapefiles that they brought into WEAP, WEAP would have adapted to the coordinate system of these outside shapefiles. Did you create the model or do you have contact with person who did?
