Dear,
I am using WEAP model. In my study area, there have five main stations along the main river and I already have stream flow data for those stations. I used Streamflow Gauge Tool for each stations on the main river schematic. I put stream flow data for each stations. Thus, I would like to know how could put the head flow data for main river. I haven't the the head flow data for main river, please.

Thank You.

Dear Myat,

To enter headflow for the river, you have two options:
1) Enter headflow data directly into the river (under "Headflow" in the Inflows and Outflows category. See the chapter "WEAP in One Hour" in the WEAP tutorial)
2) Calculate headflow from rainfall using a hydrologic model, see the chapter "Hydrology" in the WEAP tutorial.

The WEAP tutorial is available at www.WEAP21.org/tutorial

Also, I want to write a brief description about the streamflow gauges just to make sure you're using them correctly in yoru model. The streamflow gauge element in WEAP is 1 of 3 places where you can enter observed data from your actual system. The information you enter - from the gauge stations - does not interact with the data entered elsewhere in your model. The streamflow gauges are solely for the purpose of comparison between the modeled streamflow (a result of your model) and the observed data for the same place, historically. I just want to make sure that you know the gauge data is different from the river flow data.
