Dear Neetu,

There's no "required" number of years for a WEAP model - the numbers of years you choose to model is related to the question you want to answer.

For instance: How many years of intense drought can occur before the reservoir cannot supply water (that could probably be a ten year time scale). Or: Would this infrastructure investment pay off over time (that's a longer scale - maybe 40-50 years).

Don't forget too that you want to be able to calibrate your model, so it helps to start your model in the years when you already have data. That way you can tweak your model parameters to ensure that the simulated results for the system match up with the data. I suggest at least several years for calibration purposes, but it depends on the data you have, and the questions you're asking.
