Dear all,

I have a nicely calibrated river system, inlc. catchment runoff links and various inflows from diversions. The diversions are equipped with a flow requirement, representing spring discharge - and each diversion is upstream connected to a GW node through a transmission link.

This system gets now disturbed, as soon as I install a reservoir: the diversions divert now more water into the river - I guess to satisfy the demand of the reservoir. The priority of the reservoir is the lowest, so I'm wondering how I can avoid that my reservoir has an impact on the upstream system.

Looking forward for support!

You can limit how much a diversion can divert with its "Maximum Diversion" variable. Set Maximum Diversion equal to your flow requirement (for the spring discharge) and it will not divert more than that.

Best regards,
Jack

Dear Jack,

Thank you for you answer this question. I would ask How can divert the water above 178m only from the reservoir? How can I do and write that?

Thank you
