Subject: extension of weap model beyond simulation period

I have developed a weap model by simulating observed volume with storage volume of a nodal reservoir.This model is to be extended say for another 10 years. all data of demand site and inflow available . but the data of observed flow cannot be created. please guide what to do?

Dear Mukesh,

The observed flow is not available for the future because no one knows what it will be. It is your job, as the modeler, to imagine the possibilities of what this observed flow might be. What happens if the system is very dry? What happens if the system is very wet. I suggest using scenarios to explore different circumstances in your system for the future.
