Learn the WEAP System
The WEAP Basic Training course provides an introduction to the basic and intermediate features of WEAP. WEAP ("Water Evaluation and Adaptation Planning" system) is a user-friendly modeling software platform developed by the Stockholm Environment Institute that takes an integrated approach to water resources planning.
The course follows several exercises within the WEAP Tutorial in an interactive, online environment. While basic computer proficiency is expected, no prior experience using WEAP or other water modeling software is required. The course consists of 3 training days of 3 hours each, for a total of 9 hours. A certificate of course completion is provided upon successful completion of the course.

The training will follow some of the exercises in the WEAP tutorial. Please review the Syllabus to be sure the course will meet your needs. Your registration will become official once payment is received, due no later than November 4. Full refunds are available for cancellations prior to the start of training. A certificate of course completion is provided upon successful completion of the course.
The first sessions of each training (November 11, November 25) are orientation sessions that will only last 1 hour.
Pricing is based on your country's income level and status as a student. The fee is $500 USD/person for professionals from high-income countries, $500 USD for consultants, $250 USD for students from high-income countries, and $50 USD for government, academic and non-profit participants from low and middle-income countries. Your pricing will be verified and payment instructions provided upon registering.

The online, self-guided courses are FREE, online self-guided courses hosted in the Canvas education platform. Separate courses are available for English and Spanish. The courses guide the user through the basic and intermediate features of WEAP. Coursework includes exercises from the WEAP Tutorial, accompanying WEAP YouTube channel videos, quizzes and homework assignments. No previous experience is necessary. A certificate of course completion is provided upon successful completion of the course.
