I have a comprehensive map of a river basin with many layers of data (I am using ARCMap).I need to use that data in WEAP model as well.
How can I link WEAP to ARCMap?. If it cant be linked, what are the possible options to extract the data from ARCMap and use as input in WEAP.
Second,is it necessary to 'draw river' in order to add objects?
What if I add the objects on the river already present in my map?
Kindly help me with this.

Dear Hadia,
If you're okay using WGS 1984, then to add your shapefiles from ArcGIS, you'll have to use the project tool and select Geographic Coordinate Systems/World/WGS 1984. Save them on your computer and upload them to WEAP. They will have the same data in the attribute table as they had in ArcGIS, but this will need to be reformatted for data entry into the various WEAP objects. Can you be more specific about what data you are trying to use?
If your WEAP map already includes a shapefile with a river, you will still need to draw the river in WEAP. The upper box of WEAP objects in the schematic view represent all the objects that you can build in WEAP, enter data for, and use to obtain results. The middle box in the schematic view has the shapefiles, which do not interact with the data in WEAP, they are just there to help you decide where to build your objects (and to make the map look nice). All data must be entered into the WEAP objects, or else WEAP has no way to read it.

Thank you for your detailed answer. That is exactly what I did for projection.
The data includes contour maps, hydrological networks and associated data.
