Hi there, i want to know where can i found the theoretical development about the equation of evapotranspiration in the Soil Moisture Method. Particullary, i don't understand the next mathematical term:

"(5z1-2z1²)/3"

If you can show me how is the deduction of this term, specifically that one.

I'd appreciate your help

Thanks!

Hi! Although I have similar questions regarding several simplifications along the model structure, I think the term might simply be an empirical weighting factor, as it occurs in most hydrological models. By the way, I found many answers on the papers published by SEI. One example:

Hope it helps
