I am using WEAP for the river basin management there are some proposed reservoirs on the river some of them are for irrigation proposed. I would like to understand if the dam is build how the flow will be change on the border station, in terms of quantity and timing. I would like to understand the current discharge graph and future discharge graph after dam construction. Could you please help me on the issue?

Dear Sayed,

The discharge graph for the future will be greatly influenced by the data you enter into the model about the dam. What are the operation parameters? Are you prioritizing hydropower? Do the downstream demand sites prevent the dam from storing water?

I recommend downloading the WEAP tutorial (www.WEAP21.org/tutorial) and following two exercises:

Refining the Supply (through the activity with the reservoir construction)
Reservoirs and Power Production (if you're not not model hydropower, just go through the first section of this exercise).
