Dear Jack,
I am interested in comparing the results of the runs of different versions of a WEAP model, without having to save the results for each of the runs and for each variable one by one, as one could do using the Results view options in WEAP.
I guess all the results of the model runs are stored in the "Result.DB" file, within the specific model folder.
So I was wondering if it would be possible to access the information contained in this "Result.DB" file.

Dear Beatriz,
The easiest way to compare different versions of model runs is to make them scenarios in WEAP. When making the scenarios, you can choose which ones to calculate results for, and then in the results section you can compare which scenarios (of the calculated ones) to compare.
If you have not used scenarios before, I recommend reading through the Scenario section of the WEAP tutorial. Hope this helps.

I am already familiar with the use of scenarios in WEAP, but was just interested in the specific topic of accessing all the stored information at a time to have more flexibility when managing a big set of scenarios and to be able to access all simulated variables at one time.

I have two answers for you.
1) You can save your favorite charts and use the Scenario Explorer to compare them, although there is a limit to how many you can view at once.
2) If you're intending to download results, to save the numbers, that will have to be done on a case by case basis - unfortunately there is no shortcut there.

I understand what you mean. Then your answer confirms me what I guessed: that there is no implemented way at the moment for downloading all the simulation results at a time (neither of one nor several versions of the model,nor several scenarios), but getting the results has to be done either using the variables included in the favorite charts, or on a case by case basis.
To this regard, are you aware of if there is any work being carried out now in the direction of enabling the download of all simulated results at a time? Something similar maybe to what WEAP enables the user to download the settings of the model through the option "Export expressions to Excel"?

We have been experimenting with various methods for adding features like this, although there aren't any ready for release yet. I'm not sure when they will be, but we know the demand for them is there. You might try writing a script as a temporary measure.
